The values that have become the pillars in my life are: personal development, knowledge, courage, authenticity, freedom and loyalty.
I always try to work and live with people and organisations that respect them. I always try to be faithful to and respect my values. As for everyone, it is not always easy but I always try to be conscious of them.
My life purpose is to accompany people along the path to their personal development, to help them advance towards their authentic self, and from there, achieve their objectives, this being beneficialfor both the person for others.
I have made my life purpose my profession, and this is what explains my passion for what I do. I enjoy what I do very much, I live every moment with full awareness and try to be happy with what life offers me, which I cannot deny has been a lot.
I was born in 1962 in Castellar del Vallès in a very hardworking family that lived through the civil war and the post-war times and suffered the consequences.
My mother, who lost her father at a very young age, was a trouser-maker from the age of seven and my father was responsible for an important yarn factory, to which he was dedicated in body and soul. I think my parents' past is what has had such a determining influence in my life.
At the age of 12, I began to give private classes in summer and I have fond memories of the moment when the bus would arrive and leave my students with their summer study books. With time, I realised that this experience was what gave me my purpose in life.
I studied in schools that helped to consolidate the values that formed me as a person. There, I met the man who would later become my husband and father to my child and who, I can say without any doubt, has been my teacher. In 1980 we opened, with the man who would later be my husband and partner, a training company in new technologies.
In 1985 I graduated in Sciences, as my objective was to have a degree that would allow me to follow my aim of training. Later I continued my own training with various post graduate and other courses specialising in company management.
Today, I can be sincerely grateful for everything that has happened in my life. I have learned the importance of working on the development of leadership, and some time ago I decided to offer this to managers and politicians, because of the capacity for impact they have in our society.
Between 1995 and 1999 I was a City Councillor on the Sabadell City Council.
That term of office allowed me to understand politics and observe many politicians and learn important aspects of political life, and this reaffirmed what had to be my professional activity.
I left active politics - as I said in my speech on leaving the council - to continue to be faithful to my principles and values. Conditions at that time did not allow this to happen and I took what I believe to be one of the best decisions of my life. From that time I keep good friends and the best memories. It was also an especially hard time.
In this situation, I decided that I had to find the tools that would allow the improvement of the most essential and important skills of managers. The information, and later the training, came through many excellent professors and people of renowned prestige in Spain, England and the United States.
The Coaches Training Institute has been my school, and it has taught me the techniques of coaching and the development of leadership. At IESE I learned management development. From my life experience I have consolidated values, I have profiled my purpose in life and I have been able to work more towards my personal development and emotional equilibrium.
I am passionate about what I am doing at practically every moment of the day. I continue to learn every instant, from every person and from every situation, and I have learned that I may or may not agree with the views of others but I will do my utmost to avoid judging them.
If anything has defined my life, it is the effort and courage to advance development as a human being and, although I have surely been mistaken on many occasions, I have always lived my life trying to take into account respect for the lives of other people.
